ICAEW National Business Game Competition

On Tuesday 26th February, a team of 5 Economics and Business students; Francesca Clough, Abigail Johal, Emma Newman, Kirsty O’Donnell and Julia Wilson attended the National ICAEW Business Game competition at Aston University.  It is a highly prestigious competition that attracts over 200 teams across the country who battle it out to get to the National Final.  Our girls won the Birmingham heat of the competition beating many other local schools including King Edward VI Aston and Camp Hill Girls. After spending one and a half hours examining a business scenario and and discussing several options, they were given just 20 minutes to prepare a presentation advising the “Directors” on the best option to move the business forward. They drew particular praise from the judges for their confidence and awareness of the issues during the presentation. The National Final is on the 27th June at the Hilton Hotel,Birmingham.
